Christmas Quilt

My daughter thought she wanted to quilt for about two months, or maybe that was two weeks, or maybe two seconds.  She purchased a number of beautiful fabrics in Christmas colors and cut out a few four inch squares.  Then she decided she really wasn't into quilting and would stick to her scrapbooking and card designing.  She is really a pro at both of those.  Naturally she brought all of her fabrics over to me and asked if I could make a quilt from them.  They sat around for at least a year and then I found this block.  Love, love this block and so much fun to make.  These are the blocks I have to date.  I keep going to my stash pulling more fabrics out and the blocks just get more interesting.  Have no idea how many block I will end up making but I would like to have at least thirty and maybe more.

  3. The blocks look pretty Dot. I will be interested to see how you quilt it.

I still haven't decided how to quilt the Christmas blocks I won at Cold Sassy a few years ago. Even after you girls basted it for me and I tried the diagonal lines. They just don't work for me...........too many seams to sew over.

I am sure yours will be gorgeous as always.

  4. Good job on the blocks, Dot. They look a bit complicated, but I'm betting you'll say they aren't. Did you realize that you're already out the shoot with 1/3 of the blocks? Surely you can make a few more? then you'll be half way and unable to slow down. I love the colors and the Christmas star look and feel.
